Before anything I would like to address that I'm an English student. I don't know much about popular slangs other than the common grammar. There might be some mistakes on this blog, please be patient <3
Whenever I see those old Nintendo Game Boys, it reminds me of the scene kids that I used to see around the school when I was little. They used lots of PokeBalls and pikachu pins and keychains on their bags. Also, if you listen to DJ S3rl you probably heard that one Pikachu song.
I tagged a image (idk if u can see it, I'm still learning how to blog here) of a gacha machine with Pokémon toys. I'm not sure if those are popular in countries aside of mine, but we had a lot of these on the supermarkets and random stores.
• Those dusty and old rock stores
I visited one some days ago. There were so many random things, really. Most were bands and marvel t-shirts, but we found also farmer boots (?), belts, and a huge - HUGE - motorcycle.
It may be just lazyness from the owners but these stores are always so dirty and dusty. I don't know the reason.
I knew it when I bought a Blink-182 shirt, which came with two visible marks of dust on the shoulders. It was hard as heck to wash it off.
Still I love visiting these stores. Especially when I meet cool people there.
• Rainbow Dash from mlp
I don't have to really explain this one. Lots of scene kids on my childhood school had colorful hair like her.
I can't tell for sure if it was a reference to the cartoon, but I think it's kinda related, since the pony thing was so popular back in that time.
They looked so cool tho. Rainbow Dash has been my favorite pony since then <3
• Fluffy pencil cases/decorated pencils
Literally every kid had a pencil case full of fur, glitter and bright colors back in the 2010s. And when you open it, you would find lots of pens and pencils with those multiple-shape erasers. There where animals, characters or even candy shapes.
I didn't had one myself, but I get so nostalgic when I see a kid with one of those these days. I think they are just not as popular as before.
(If I find one, I'll put an image here)
