Prehistoric Planet Episode 3 is more of the same, and that's a good thing!
I'm not going to repeat my thoughts on the length of the segments since
we all know the format of the show by now. I will say I'm glad the
episodes do go back to places they've covered previously. That
definitely helps to flesh out the ecosystem a bit and give some
dinosaurs more screen time. I hope we get more of the Therizinosaurus
from the last episode. Would be a shame to see it just be a cameo. I
also hope we get to see more of the Deinocheirus in later episodes! I
need MORE!!!!
I do think the show shying away from being too graphic lessens some of
the impacts. I'm not asking for blood and guts every episode, but you
can clearly see they wanted to show the Tyrannosaurus feeding behavior
study from Denver Fowler but didn't dare to show it. I wonder if we'll
see any tyrannosaur face-biting behavior later?

The most disappointing dinosaur is the Masiakasaurus. The model in the show doesn't do a good job capturing the weirdness of the front teeth on the lower jaw. I'm actually confused by why this detail was missing.
I'm also wondering why this episode is called freshwater. I think the Velociraptor, T.rex, and Quetzalcoatlus segments are only vaguely connected to the title. It doesn't really play a very important role in any of those. At least the Velociraptor hunt scene was spectacular. The Deinocheirus needs to come back in another segment to catch some fish! That would be awesome!
