Is it sexist the fact that when women began to be mentioned or referred to in careers it’s always waitress not waiter, actress not actor as if it would be too complicated if we were all labelled the same and no this does not refer to men and women being referred to as him and she (or they/it/xen/hen) as that helps to narrow down someone’s gender in a biological sense but why should it matter so much in jobs? Like yeah we won’t know their gender but we already have pronouns for that! Why ‘-ess’ ?
Sexism?
