Why Emo/Scene fashion needs to come back !

Aren't we all tired of seeing it? The tights, over sized sweaters, crocs and some sort of Lulu Lemon brand clothing. I know I am, and I believe we need to bring an end this cycling loop of basic fashion. Now don't get me wrong, this style choice isn't horrible but it becomes a problem when more than half of our teen culture is doing it. We need to bring back emo and scene styles again. Yes I'm talking studded belts, knee high converse, side bangs and Kandi. The list of why we need a more diverse styling system ranges from our future generations to our adulthood.

Our future generations shouldn't be afraid on juggling around new styles and fun hair. If we don't bring back the cool emo scene hair it's eventually going to die out. Our future generations need to able to see that we weren't scared of critical fashion norms, and that we did whatever the hell we wanted.
Now don't forget our adulthood is just around the corner and we will soon be required and forced to wear whatever our jobs want us to where, of course depending on if you don't get a strict job, but for most it will be like that. So we should embrace our teen years to have fun with styles includes trying out colored hair, studded belts, playing around with designs and making our own unique style.
In conclusion fashion should be way more than just a oversized sweater during our teen years. I don't diss on the basic fashion but I do believe we all should play around with old styles and making them our own.

Don’t lose hope! It may not be super mainstream but the scene/emo community is still pretty big - the music/bands are still popular among certain circles and if you look for it, there are both younger people and elder emos (like myself lol) to which it was never a phase keeping the music and style alive haha.

Ya, agreed and not all of us can make our hair that way. I’ve seen a lot of YouTube tutorials of how to tease and cut scene hair but most of the guides are done by white people with a very specific hair type that I don’t have :( so no matter how I spray it or how short I cut the top I can’t get it to be spiky like that.
