It's honestly been years since I was this amazed and shocked at a film. The Hunt definitely deserved all the recognition it got and probably deserves more. Mads Mikkelsen was fucking great as per usual and the other actors were just as phenomenal. They deserved all the awards to be honest.
The storytelling was spectacular. The characters were written so good. The pacing wasn't shit and overall, it was such a great watch. Admittedly, it did keep me on the edge of my seat and I practically held my breath indefinitely throughout those two hours but was it worth it? Absolutely. I recommend this to anyone who's willing to watch stuff with this kind of theme. Even if you aren't, I'd say to still go and try because it's really really good.
If in the far or near future I get to study psychology, I would love to write a paper on this film. Specifically, Klara. She's very interesting. I don't really agree when people shit on her or are mad at her because I'm more disappointed at the parents and the brother. But especially the parents. The neglect was clear as day at the beginning of the movie. A character analysis would honestly suffice but I feel like I'm a bit too under qualified for even that. So, if given the chance, I'd invest my time and studies to a paper on The Hunt.
Hats off to everyone involved in making this film. You have officially made my week ten times more satisfying.
