One of Mads Mikkelsen's films The Hunt recently came to my attention via several tiktoks that ended up on my fyp. I've seen the trailer and read a very lengthy review about it, specifically why one of the characters, Klara, did what she did. I am now very invested.
But considering my history with films with this kind of tone, I have a strong feeling I'll be shedding a few tears during or after watching it. I was actually considering asking my aunts to watch it with me since this may be their cup of tea but immediately thought against it at this realization. I'll watch it by myself first then, if they want to, they can put it on whenever.
This is definitely not a movie I wanna be watching with two adults in the room. Not for the reasons I think most would think. I'm just uncomfortable at the thought of crying in front of people, let alone the ones who raised me. No thanks to that.
I'm still watching it though. God forbid school try to shackle me again with a new set of projects that I have less than a month to finish with. But a dean's list is a dean's list and Mads Mikkelsen is Mads Mikkelsen. Welp.
