favorite albums

i wanted to to list my favorite albums on the little interests/music blurb on my profile but it was pretty crowded.

so here are some of my favorite albums!

First and Last and Always - The Sisters of Mercy (1985)

[I have minimal comments. I like the way it sounds.]

Tinderbox - Siouxsie and the Banshees (1985)

[I have minimal comments. I like the way it sounds.]

Foundation Stones - Rosetta Stone (1994)

A compilation of Rosetta Stone's early recorded works. The tracks featured were recorded from 1988-1992 and initially released as singles and EPs.
An interesting sidenote about Rosetta Stone's discography is that while their first album was An Eye For The Main Chance (1991), most people are more familliar with Adrenaline (1993), which features a very similar tracklist to An Eye For The Main Chance. In fact, the 1991 album is not on streaming services - I seem to remember that it was at one point but I may be mistaken.

Hiding in Waiting - Rosetta Stone (1996)

Very cool electronic stuff. An overall theme of radio transmission - motifs of static, track transitions that are reminiscent of surfing radio stations, plus the first song (titled Hiding in Waiting) is split into two tracks called Carrier and Reciver.
Also features two covers: Living On the Ceiling, originally by Blancmange, and Venus in Furs, originally by The Velvet Underground.

Lateralus - Tool (2001)

Features some cool use of mathematical sequences that I won't pretend to fully understand.
Not really something I frequently listen to. I put it on when I want to Listen to an Album. It's good shit.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance (2005)

[I have minimal comments. I like the way it sounds.]
what's not to love
/Gerard Way Blood Kink.

Folie a Deux - Fall Out Boy (2008)

my favorite silly little depression album
the deluxe edition features a bonus track called Pavlove which isn't available on streaming platforms which kills me. i get why it isn't on the main album but also i love it.

PAX-AM Days - Fall Out Boy (2013)

Fall Out Boy took a long hiatus that turned into a breakup and then made a huge comeback with an album in 2013, and then for some reason right after that they made a shitty EP in like a week.
i love the way it sounds but it doesn't seem to be popular with many fall out boy fans :(

Spirit Phone - Lemon Demon (2016)

[I have minimal comments. I like the way it sounds.]
Somehow I didn't get into Lemon Demon until like 2018. idk i guess i didn't watch many newgrounds animations

Make Room - Destroy Boys (2018)

stg destroy boys was engineered to sound good to me.
also, shoutout to the two singles they put out in early 2020 - Fences, and Honey I'm Home. They're released together on vinyl but it's kind of a shame that they weren't featured on the latest album (Oct. 2021).

The Normal Album - Will Wood (2020)

oooOOoOoooOOOOooOoooOoo im mENtalLy iLL

t.i.a.p.f.y.h - Left At London (2021)

Pills And Good Advice is lowkey a masterpiece highly reccomend.
