It is, in fact, not. Let me explain.
So, one of my teachers loves saying this to my class and I: "Some adjustments can't be done because our goal is to prepare you for the real world and the real world wouldn't give you these adjustments." Funny thing is, teach, we're technically not in the real world yet. And I agree with their statement, it makes sense, it's logical. But it's the way they say it that really ruffles my feathers and just their whole mindset when it came to such adjustments.
For a little background, this is the teacher I was ranting about a month ago because they wouldn't let me go solo in a project and couldn't seem to understand that most things about the real world aren't black and white. No, I can't just talk it out with a lazy ass group mate and expect them to magically cooperate accordingly in group works. And even if I can speak to them, there are other repercussions. Such as this lazy group mate being a lying little bitch who likes to talk shit and lie about people to make themselves look better. Would I want to be lied about? No, of course not. I'm just new here, I can't risk my reputation. Another reason why I wholeheartedly dislike this teacher is the way they make you feel like you're the inadequate one for wanting out of a situation that could get you fucked for a number of reasons. All because they see the world in black and white.
So, my point is, no, the world isn't just those two simple colors. Nothing is ever that simple in the real world. I really hope they reevaluate this way of thinking because it is just pure horseshit.
