iPhones and iPods (entertainment)

iPods were introduced on October 23, 2001. They were a sleeker and had more storage than the MP3 players of the 90's. They allowed for more freedom by allowing the user to plug into their car, headphones, computer etc. They also allowed for more variety instead of a fixed list of songs. Apple addressed the growth of music piracy by launching iTunes in 2003, which became a model for selling copyrighted music. iPhones came out in 2007, revolutionizing mobile phones. Nearly everything was now available in your pocket: the internet, games, your mom, Facebook. All of this became accessible with only one device. Now having a touchscreen phone is seen as an essential, and being able to play music on demand as necessary for everyday life.
