Fashion in the late 90s and early 2000s looked towards the future, with shiny clothes, and metallic colors. But after 9/11 clothing reflected a more grunge look. Celebrities focused on showcasing their wealth during the 2000s, and this is what modern youth try to emulate. Clothing in the mid 2000s drew inspiration from the 60s and 70s. Finally as the decade in the late 2000s reintroduced 80s fashions with neon colors and oversized silhouettes.
