you know, a lot of people look at me and expect me to be into r&b and soul, maybe rap and the like. and they're right, i DO like those things. rap and r&b is good stuff, and i do like biggie smalls and the jackson 5 and megan thee stallion and such. they also expect me to like pop as well, which i do.Â
but rock? alternative music? not so much. too bad for them, cause i LOVE shit like that.
i always liked things like baroque pop and cabaret music, as well as more alt music and guitar heavy music. green day? hell yeah let's jam!! and people seem so shocked to see a black person in a green day sweater but hey! i like what i like.
but part of me wants to start showing off my love for artists like corpse- people who make heavier rap- just so that people can gawk. i really like harder rap, plus corpse's growly vocals are pretty fun to vibe to. not the type of stuff you'd expect a person like me to throw it back to.
like if y'all saw me, you would NOT think i was a corpse fan at all lmao. but i digress. i absolutely love love LOVE music and everything about it :)

as you should!! having assumptions about what music people listen to based on race, gender, age, or anything like that is just so stupid because music is this magical thing that literally anyone anywhere can appreciate, and leaving people out of the equation for any reason whatsoever is dumb.
