Lesbian Isolation

Any other lesbians (or honestly LGBT kids in general) feel like they’ll never get the actual high school/childhood experience because of your LGBT identity? It’s a really lonely/isolating feeling , and i want to know if anyone feels the same way, since all of the representation we’ve seen about how your childhood/highschool life is supposed to be is such a cisheteronormative image.

at times yeah, but i opened up to people, and found out that they're like me and experiencing the same feelings, and with time we all became close friends both online and offline, and felt safer, stuff can be extreamly hard, but know that your not alone in this

yeah, I get that feeling all too often. I'm genderqueer and bisexual, and I'm always afraid of interacting with people outside of my small friend group for fear of being discriminated. Dating is even harder, I always feel like I'll never get in a relationship because no one is actually open to dating someone like me.
