why i hate being called emo

(NO HATE TO ANY PEOPLE WHO CLASSIFY THEMSELVES AS EMO, & IF IT SOUNDS LIKE IM INSULTING IM NOT, IM JUST SPEAKING FROM MY PERSPECTIVE & TALKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE AT MY SCHOOL)

okay so, a lot of people at my school call me emo when I wear a flannel or some black pants, but they way they make it sound is such bullshit. Like, anyone of anyone can wear black, because it’s just an easy color to put on. But from my point of view theres many different “types” of mistaken emo’s. you got the “stereotypical” emo’s, you got the ones that actually classify themselves as emo (THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT) then you have the ones that are goth but they get called emo, then you got the grunge ones (me) and they all get drawn into this style that some don’t want to be apart of. i feel like when they see anyone who doesn’t wear a fucking anime hoodie and basic ass pants they act all shitty about it and then they shout at me. Like, I’d say the stuff I wear is WAY better than having a crop top and skinny ass pants, but you know, my style doesn’t fit everyone, and at the end of the day, what do they know, ykwim?
