This is the PBS documentary on the Tanis site. This site is believed to have preserved evidence of the day the asteroid hit the planet ending the rule of the non-avian dinosaur 66 million years ago.
The documentary is very compelling, but hard to say if their conclusion is bullet proof. It needs to be published. Even if it's not evidence of the day of the impact, it probably preserved a day when disaster struck this area. The fossil preservation is amazing no matter the context.
I highly recommend watching it, since it's free on PBS.
