Opinions on Tyler the Creator's album "Goblin"

I love the instrumentals - the beat sounds extra devious- its beautiful lowkey - the characters that he chooses to play on his older albums are surprisingly very complex and twisted - the fact that hes just talking to himself is so funny but genius at the same time - relate to some of the stuff he says about being a teenager - “my friends think im lying when i said i need counseling”FELT : 8/10

CLASSIC BANGER- “jesus called, he said he’s sick of the disses..i told him to quit bitching, this isnt a fucking hotline”FIRE- i wonder if this was a freestyle, it has that type of feel to it - “i just want to know if my father would ever like me, but i dont give a fuck, hes probably just like me. A mother fuckin goblin” FIRE:9.5/10

“Random disclaimer” hilarious - this one will have to grow on me, gotta give it a could more listens - oooooo i like the calm period of the song, very pretty sounding - actually listening to the whole thing, it grew on me already - very soothing lowkey: 8.7/10

Another classic banger!!!!! -love this song, eat it up everytime it comes on - the adlibs in the background of the guy repeating frank is beautiful, honestly - literally vibe so hard to this song everytime bruv! - “dont wanna seem like a punk pussy that simps over punk psuuys”!!!fire - “CUNT”: 10/10

I like the use of nursey rhythms - i like the chorus, its catchy! - i see this alter ego is not the biggest fan of women lol - I like how the back up singers harmonize with him talking - i really like the “ITS BECAUSEEEE” part: 9/10

Oooo the piano in the back is haunting, like scary lowkey - idk i think this whole album is amazing - its more of an experience to listen to the whole album, because he’s telling a story - “Sydney Tyler’s throwing up” loved that - the instruments help tell the tone of the story a lot, like as the song goes on and the lyrics get more aggressive, the pace of the piano speeds up in the background to create suspense or anxiety: 8.5/10

OH MY FUCKING GOD THE TRANSITION FROM NIGHTMARE TO TRON CAT, HE SAID “whats his name ?, “tron cat, “la la laaaa laaaa” HEATTTTTTTTTT - ANOTHER CLASSIC BANGER ONCE AGAIN - this is already like a 10 out of 10 - I don’t know who helped him produce this album, but jesus fucking christ the crazy sounds that they use in the background are insane!!!: 10/10

I love these transitions = “whose this girl u were talking about?” and then it transitions into Her, GOLD - “its this girl!” love that : 9/10

Ooo hes angry in this one! - this one is crazyyyyyyy - catchy- not my favorite song - the beat kind of ruined it for me idk why, will give another listen: 6/10

This one is very interesting - i dont know how i feel about all the rape talk in the songs, but i think thats the character hes playing so im conflicted - the music songs mystical - random silence? - oh is this a freestyle at the end? The beat is so funny! - “SHES A BOPPIN BITCH” makes you wanna twerk, ayeeeee- this sounds like something doja cat would make, she should remix this song! - “ she a BB, what that stand for? She a boppin bitch” LOL- OMG NOW HE GONNA KILL HER LMAOOOO: 7/10

Makes me wanna whine, i like the beat a lot! - ooooo how the lyrics and beat sound, it makes it a good high song - “meet me by the lake” i like - ooo i love the police siren sound in the background, makes me wanna dance - the laughing girl in the back is amazing: 8.2/10

I already dont think i like this one - couldn’t listen all the way through: 2/10

Okay Biggie reference - ooo this song is real long chileee - I imagine this as his friends all staging an intervention in his living room, and theyre all trying to talk to him so he’ll feel better, but he’s resisting - looking at it that way makes me like the song a lot more! - Tyler sounds depressed asf in this song - IS HE SHOOTING HIS FRIENDS?????!!!! - OH WOW:7.9/10

I dont really like the beat on this - i guess this acts as a calming transition song, its lighthearted so it cleans your mind a little bit from the dark elements of the album: 4/10

Ranting styled song - this one will have to grow on me - i like the techno sounds in the back, kind of sounds like a running tap - its okay: 4/10

So many slurs lol - i like the beat, it sounds like something Pharrell would have produced, oh lol he mentions him in this song!!! : 5/10

OVERALL SCORE: 6.8/10
