the weather is finally beginning to feel like summer weather. as i sit outside today i cannot find a single cloud in the sky, and the sky is that clear, vibrant shade of blue you only see on a sunny day. i have two weeks left of my junior year of high school. in two weeks the daily stress of writing down due dates, planning around club events, and eating lunch in a classroom will be over.
i'm hoping with this change of weather comes a change of attitude. let's just say i wasn't kind to myself in the winter. but plenty of people have seasonal depression, i'll be using the change of seasons as i use my glasses. i'll use it to find clarity, to see the try and see the bigger picture after only focusing on things close to me for so long.
i'll always call snow in the winter magic, i never tire of it. but there's one thing snow cannot beat, and it's the way sunlight looks peering through a seemingly impenetrable canopy of leaves. it's my favorite color. the green is so vivacious it makes me feel that the trees are just are knowing and appreciative of the summer as i am. we share a knowledge of the shift that has occured, both silently acknowledging that somehow today is a brighter day.
