I'm Here to Procrastinate Again!

Because I rather everyone get their links all in one go, I'm posting my link tree here. It's much easier to click on one link and decide where to follow me.

So here I am... Procrastinating again. Almost typed Procraftinating which is an entirely different thing. Same idea but crafting. I'm struggling with life. I'm delaying starting another plushie even though I have not even finished the first head of the one I was going to do. I'm terrible, yes. I'm taking a break from the shawl to work on other things that needs doing. I got time before it needs to be turned in and that's okay.

The plushies I'm working on are my design called Rexy the Cuddly Dinosaur. I've worked really hard on it. CraftyKid (kiddo, my child) loves these and has been asking me to up my game around the holidays like this Christmas when we did a Creeper Rexy (I do not do copyrighted material at all due to laws and such). I am thinking about doing that but with things that are in public domain.

I'm working on an itty bitty one and a big one. The itty bitty one is made out of smaller, thinner yarn while the bigger yarn is made from scrap yarn from projects. I have a whole Etsy and Square shop dedicated to selling my products. It's a thing. I will be linking all of my shops in my blog. I love doing these things, honestly, but it seems like I'm doing the same over and over again. Just look at TikTok. I'm playing around with my stuff right now to try and get more views. Won't lie. Some of my hot takes aren't funny. I get it. People came for the process. That's cool with me. I'm not funny and that's still fine. I just want to do other things.

So with all of that said, I'm going to stick with doing content that people came for. However, I need new ideas to do it which is one of my goals for this new year. Not only that but to design things on my Ravelry. I haven't done much last year in the way of designing and I feel like I need to hop right back into it 'cause I have a list of ideas. Not a long list, of course, but some design ideas that would be fun.

It's not the only thing. I wanna do my VtM (Vampire the Masquerade) OC (original character or char) series back up too. I really also want to dye yarn. I've been saying this for a while and my dyed yarn would be called Sarah City Yarns after my favorite char named Sarah Gable (Sarah City is her stage name). I think it would be fun. I'd also do yarns for each OC I have too. I have a good feeling of knowing what I'm doing too. When I get enough money, I'll be able to get equipment for the job.

This isn't the only thing I'll be doing with my OCs because what else I have planned is to write a book. A book about these chars but twist it in a way where I can stray away from my favorite table top game. It's going to be on Wattpad for sure and will be age restricted. It's definitely 18+ because I want to cover my arse on this. I have things I want to write about but it's just age restricted because I want to do adult themes. I will definitely link my Wattpad when I get something up for sure. Been trying to for a while but... It's the yarn that keeps me distracted. That and CraftyKid.

I'm not going to lie but online learning is hard. Props to those homeschool mamas and dads who does this. You guys are truly MVPs in my book. I fully understand that CraftyKid is not someone who should be homeschooled. Yes, he got his shit together when he's home but he goes to school the rest of the week for his IEP stuff. 0/10 it is not recommended for me. The issues with me homeschooling him is that he's easily distracted by toys, TV (we turn all electronics off that doesn't deal with school), markers, pencils, ect. He's fidgety. I get it but there's no way to curb it to make sure he focuses.

No, he's not diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, and stuff like that. Let's not assume until there's medical evidence and there's none according to the doctor. However, I will admit that I do want a second opinion and we're going to get it. I know where I want to go to be absolutely sure. So don't play armchair doctor with this, please, I will be blocking people for that. You are most likely not a doctor and you've haven't examined him well enough to diagnose him.

Probably the last time I'll talk about CraftyKid unless something big happens. Probably. I don't want to talk about CraftyKid often and it would feel slimey to make him the main focus of any of my social medias.

So I got lovely new lotions for Christmas and they're Dr. Teal's brand. It works wonders for me! I have one with peppermint and one with hemp oil. I raised an eyebrow at the hemp thing because I wasn't sure if it was okay for them to sell in Ohio. Apparently, it is. Cool! So I've tried it out for a few days and I had very dry elbows. It cleared it up then and I love the smell of it. Just thought I'd share it. It's a testimonial for sure. Take it with a grain of salt, please.

It's not the only thing I discovered over Christmas. I also discovered face masks and they are fucking amazing. My face felt as smooth as satin and it smelled like papaya! I really hope that I can get into a place where I can buy some of these masks again because I want to do this as a weekly or a bi-weekly thing. It was just really amazing to do so.

Now, that I am out of topics... I shall take my leave. I just wanted to talk some more and pretend I'm not entertaining an audience of one... Like I always do. Happy Crafting!
