I wanted you to see the beauty in my scars

I wanted you to to be able to see the stars

and get lost in my jade colored eyes

I wanted you to sail the night sky

To fall asleep in my arms

ignoring all the alarms

I wanted you to feel the way I felt about you

I wanted you to dream of all the things we could get to

Fantasize about things like our wedding day,

Watching you walk down that walkway

In a beautiful white dress,

Being so eager to say yes.

I wanted you.

Instead we fought and distrusted each other,

And me trying to hold on led me to smother

All those times begging you to stay

It just pushed you away.

Every dream must end, right?

Yet I want to make things alright
