Why I love art

Art is a way for everyone to express their inner emotions and perspectives of the world, so it's no surprise that the purpose of art changes from person to person! Personally, I view art as a way to admire things that I am enthralled by, and that usually changes pretty quickly. Currently, I've found myself doodling different kinds of eyes and experimenting with how eyelids can change the identity, such as how epicanthic folds and mono-lid eyes can convey a different ethnicity than hooded eyes. In the past, I was always drawing hands to study how the folds in the skin would contort depending on the pose. However, I've found that pieces that resonate the most with me are classical paintings of the human figure. Alexandre Cabanel and Michelangelo are some of my favorite classical/Renaissance artists for that reason. However, the most important thing to remember is this: Art is, first and foremost, an expression of oneself, and that expression is what makes art beautiful!
