idk how to use hyphens

idk if its word-word or if theres gotta be space somewhere and so i do what i want and other people tend to assume i made a typo im sure

anyway music time. this song/band sounds like a cross between exactly what i want to listen to rn as well as exactly what i wanted to listen to 10 years ago. that being said i would still never remember to mention great grandpa if anyone ever asked what i liked to listen to. idk its weird and i love it but it kinda feels superficial for now but i think it will grow on me even more if i let it.

the superficial thing has to do with me barely comprehending the lyrics because im too focused on how hard the beat is going but imma listen to it again rn and give a bit of a lyrical analysis

3 mins later

first impression is the stuff about changing hair is not as relatable to me as it is to a lot of people i know since i never used dying hair as a coping mechanism the way i think the song portrays but it feels like the lyrics are talking about looping back to old cycles of being faced with a problem and just doing enough to put it off a little longer while never breaking the cycle. kinda like how dying your hair wont fix a problem but will still give you that shot of serotonin when you realize theres always that one thing you get to control

i think i will actually continue to love this song more and more because it actually fits so perfectly with the vibe were looking for in my life atm. the lyrics dont hit me personally as strongly but the vibes are immaculate anyway
