As part of a project to turn my entire wardrobe of clothes into a
vaguely Edwardian 1890-1910 style, I am currently sewing a waistband onto a new skirt.

The main fabric of the skirt is made from 100 % wool and is a flannel weave, making it incredibly soft. The skirt itself is a three-piece circle skirt with pleats in the back that are meant to imitate the volume in the back of a fanskirt in about 1890.
Update (27. September 2021):
Finished the waistband and am sewing a band onto the hem. This involves about 13 m of topstitching, by hand.
