I really want scene hair. I know it wouldnt be too hard to do. Buttttt there is an issue for meeeeee. I HAVE NATURALLY VERY CURLY HAIR AND IT IS A PAIN TO STRAIGHTEN AND IMMEDIATELY BECOMES WAVY AND FRIZZY AND CURLY AFTER A FEW DAYS... plus i dont have much time to touch it up and go over it cuz my hair is a pain in the butt to deal with. plus if i were to cut it in a way that was like the scene bangs and fringe it would have to be straight. and then look really wack if it got wet and got curly. Please tell me im not the only one with this struggle. And i have darker hair too so dyeing it is so annoying. It works but only certain colors and shades. Ik i could bleach it but idk how my hair would handle it and idk if i wanna put that in my hair.
Another thing related to it is how toxic some people in the scene community are about the hair. Saying you cant be scene if you basically don't go bleach and dye your hair to death. Burn it off, tease it and spray it and dye again until it falls out of your scalp when the wind hits it. Same with a lot of subcultures like emo, scene, grunge even and punk as well as goth. They are all music based subcultures. If you listen to the music you are basically that subculture essentially. The clothing and hair is just an optional way to express it visually on yourself with fashion. Plus a lot of people can;t have scene hair cuz of the texture, restrictions from parents especially if you are a teen. As well as jobs, a lot of jobs have restrictions on clothing, hair colors, and piercings. Major dress codes and what not and arent things they can just move around easily and comfortably.
I still really want scene hair lol. I do have some wigs ive styled a few times and stuff. If youre like me and want scene hair but have too many obstacles. Just get a wig and style it all you want. If it gets ruined it aint ur real hair, you can take it off whenever and do a lot to it in ways you cant to your own hair. It's just better lol. Even if you don't wear them often its still fun styling them and trying them out.

So u have a few options here:
>Wigs: these can be great cause u don’t have to cut or dye or straighten ur hair, but it’s not permanent
>Have it curly but add accessories: bows, tiaras or anything from Claire’s Accessories
>Staighten it: this can be a pain if ur in a rush and it damages ur hair, but it’s the most authentic.

lmao i totally relate to this, but im considering permanently straighting my hair so maybe it might solve my problem but my mom doesnt allow me to do anything to my hair rn bc my hair has been falling A LOT :,,,)
