my honest review on donkey kong game & watch

and now i will share my thoughts and opinions on this thing.

so the design of this thing is.. okay, the screen doesnt stay in place like the DS but it has its own angle made best for viewing, and also the screens can only be viewed at a certain angle, you cant look at it any angle you want, yoy have to hold the device like this.

the game is actually 3D, there are many foreground and background elements to this game, making it lively even tho it doesnt have any animation, it feels good to see the cartoony characters move in a drawn 3D enviroment.

the game is difficult, and the game and watch collection on the DS version is inaccurate, on the DS version you can move as fast as you want, but on the real thing there is a cooldown.

The D-Pad or as the manual calls it the "+ button" is, its small and mushy, i dont really like it, i prefer my DSi version of the D-Pad with its clicky button style that allows for faster movement.

the manual is great, it tells you everything you should know about the game, how it works, how to play it, what is what, the manual was lively and i suggest you should read it even if you dont own the game.

the gameplay is really great, and this is a solid game and watch game that isnt just "move left and right to block coming objects" type gameplay, you can move in 4 directions, jump, avoid barrels, flip a switch and run towards the crane to do a timing jump. Yes, this game does need skill and timing. Its difficult but fun, not that difficult but its difficult enough to entertain you, unlike ball which is "easy and its more of a 'try not to fall asleep challenge".

I payed 1400 tl for this, and the condition was "straight out of the box". No scratches, no problems, no issues, and the seller was a great guy.

There is an alarm feature too, which actually works with special illustrations for the alarm.

The case is pretty strong, but be careful not to snap that thing open.

Overall 8/10, an example of a good game and watch, not the best d-pad but it does the job
