idk what to really call this but i'm just rambling about how i struggle to write stories

Hi y'all !

I just wanted to write my feelings out a little bit, nothing too major but I think getting this problem on paper might help me really think about how to go about it (?) I've always had a really hard time writing about stuff, like i've had a ton of ideas in the past about stories and or short stories that i think are really creative but i've never really had the focus to get them down on paper. I had this idea the other night about a lyric from Halleluiah by P!ATD, "A moment you'll never remember, and a night you'll never forget." Now i know in the context of the song this is supposed to be about not remembering the moment you started to cheat on someone due to being inebriated, but I always kinda thought of it as a kind of time loop thing. Let me set the stage, It is the 1950s (or 60s or like maybe Victorian era) you are invited to a Gadsby-esque masquerade party, you arrive and by the end of the night you are either murdered or you witness something other worldly. When you come back to your senses, you've just arrived at the party....again. It's basically Groundhog's Day if Groundhog's Day had some over arching, rich, gadsby-like villain. Honestly speaking, i still am tempted to start writing it but there's so many other details that i would have to think of. I also feel like i could add so much else to this idea/story without it seeming cliché (ex. gay lovers? it not being a masquerade party?). idk i'm just kinda stumped with an eternal writer's block... T_T

Anyway, thanks for reading y'all <3

okay i love the time loop idea this seems like it would be really interesting to read like i would read, question tho dose the main character lose their memory every time the loop resets ?

i was thinking maybe that the main character remembers everything BUT the thing that make time loop, so they gotta piece it together themselves on 1. what's causing this and 2. how to stop it.
