Being a Vegetarian but wearing Real Fur.

I've reached the height of hypocrisy. At 13 I saw videos that made me swear off meat eating the rest of my life. Then I discovered the fur trade. I'm obsessed with animal furs. Rabbit, fox, mink, lynx, shit even DOG if I could find it. I've also practiced witchcraft since the age of 13, and something about wearing fur of once living things, just makes me feel connected to the animal kingdom and like I'm giving that animal a second life.
Part of me feels like a normal human for once, "not caring", yet another part of me is like; "you idiot! You might as well skin animals yourself"
Judge me.

Yes Lena! You and I are on the same thought process. The only furs I've ever purchased are from secondhand shops so absolutely! I've had some things in my cart on Amazon to purchase, but I'll end up going to etsy to find the antiques instead :)
Thank all of you for the input, I definitely appreciate it.

I think if you feel guilt about this, you could try purchasing furs from thrift stores / secondhand! That way the "positive" of shopping sustainably cancels out the "negative" of animal harm. And vintage items are so special because they have a history and emotions attached to them. :)

I think there's many cultures that wear animal fur but do so in a respectful way. If your vegetarianism/veganism is moral, then to thoughtfully respect the animals that sacrificed their lives, and to try to ethically source furs and pelts you own, doesn't seem hypocritical in the least.
