Greetings everyone

I’m Doctor Detroit. I hate to start my 2nd blog entry on a sour note (don’t worry the 2nd part gets better), but it’s come to my attention, that no one wants to be nice anymore. No one wants to respect anyone, and above all, the world seems to have turned into major bullies or just people who are angry 24/7. How did it come to this? What was it that broke everyone in a bad way?

The answer my friends, is many things, from the Pandemic to everything on the internet, cancel culture, and SJWs causing nuclear harm. The Pandemic really took its toll on everyone. For the most part everyone was friendly to a point, then when the shut downs and quarantine started…things went down hill. Gone we’re the happy vibes, and In came the bad vibes. Nowadays if you say you hate something, it sets off a nest of Warrior Wasps who will come at you, call you vulgar names, some I can’t even repeat here, or even say you have “no intelligence”. Maybe they start a cancellation on you, causing you and your family harm that damages you beyond repair. No amount of therapy could help.

Once you have been canceled, there’s almost no recovering. Some have recovered, others not. Plus I’m noticing that we are heading in a direction where I feel like soon, it doesn’t matter what you say, I’d you say anything then people will just harass you. It will get to the point where even saying “I like cookies” will get you in trouble. Where did we decide to drop the niceness in everything? Why are we fighting each other? Why are friendships becoming sour? And why can’t people dislike what they want to dislike without being forced to like a popular trait? 

Is this how the rest of the 2020s is gonna go? Are we never gonna return to the good days? Are we just gonna turn on each other? Are we gonna ban our friends from their discord servers just because they hate something?

I’m sure I struck a nerve with some people for writing this first part, but if I couldn’t say it here, who can?! It’s a scary situation that needs to be fixed! The world right now is filled with so much hatred, it’s got to stop! Plus, I really felt the need to put it here in this blog, my blog!

And now for something completely different, the 2nd part of this blog!

I belong to a virtual trucking company called the International Trucking Company, or ITC for short. A Virtual Trucking Company or VTR is a fun experience where a bunch of folks with either Euro Truck Sim 2 or American Truck Sim come together and play in game and log miles. There are many VTRs around on discord or even Steam, however, some a super ugly or toxic, or some, take the fun out of it all, but we will discuss that in the next blog! For now let’s focus on the ITC!

I joined the company in early 2021, and found my way to the top quick. Helping to bring the ETS2 numbers up as I would nab miles to and from places in Europe. There’s also convoys, where a bunch of us truckers gather in the in game convoy system or on TruckersMP, a multiplayer server where you can have bigger convoys. The folks at ITC are some of the most Elite truckers I’ve met, each of them have their own personalities and they also have their own ways of trucking. 

The company also features truckers from all over the place, and they are not toxic! They keep the fun in convoy! My personal experiences have been very positive and I continue to drive for them to this day. Last week we had our weekly convoy which this time featured 5 truckers myself included. 3 Kenworths, a Volvo, and a Freightliner Cascadia that surprised them all! 3 loads across the west side of America.
