I have read so many books in the span of 2 months..
the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
crying in hmart
salt
reminders of him
the subtle art of not giving a fuck
call me by your name
find me
the warrior heir
making me be at 2 books ahead of schedule. I had set it at 15 for this year, but if I hit 15 by June, im gonna try to aim for 30.
right now im reading a poetry book called Every Word You Cannot Say, and im starting The Man Who Couldn't Stop ODC and The True Story of a Life Lost in Thought.
im one of those people that have to read multiple things at once to keep my mind at ease... I dunno if that is the right way to put it. but yeah

My picks, arranged in order of seriousness.
Silly:
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency + Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams
Still Life with Woodpecker - Tom Robbins (also all his other books)
Breakfast of Champions - Kurt Vonnegut
Dead Serious:
Franny and Zooey - J.D. Salinger
Kiss of the Fur Queen - Tomson Highway
Crime and Punishment - Dostoevsky
Even Seriouser:
Endgame: vols 1+2 by Derrick Jensen
(Might be good to read "Collapse" by Jared Diamond and Sahlin's readily-available essay "The Original Affluent Society" first... maybe sign up for AA in advance just in case though.)

"The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle" - a fantastic murder mystery!!
"House of Leaves" - a psychological thriller, a very difficult read but INCREDIBLY interesting. If you can find a way to just... look at it... like, flip through the pages, I highly encourage doing so.
"The Invisible Life of Addie Larue" - very fun read
"Beloved" - anything by Toni Morrison is so so so good
"We Need to Talk About Kevin" - my jaw was on the FLOOR
"SlaughterHouse-Five" - Kurt Vonnegut is always good
This is just off the top of my head and the first few are recent reads that I enjoyed very much. If I think of any more I believe are worth recommending I'll drop another comment if you want! :)
