I saw Unbearable Weight a couple of hours ago and I still don't know what to think of it. There were parts of it I enjoyed, but I feel like I was missing a lot of Nic Cage references I wasn't in the know to see and I wasn't sure what tone the movie was going for...
Meta stories can be cool and well done, but if it's half-baked or lazy it just ends up confusing and pretentious. I feel like this movie fell into the confusing and pretentious zone. I might've had a different opinion if I was more of a Nic Cage fan... I like him and watch some of his movies but I don't know all the Lore, ykno?
Pedro Pascal was hot though. I enjoyed looking at him for an hour and a half.
