The Wastes

Created in the year 444, when king Darian drank wine with the Tradesman's blood mixed in it. The Crimson Rage, was the title given to both the blood and the state of being that Darian was in. The blood gave him otherworldy powers straight from the pit of hell itself. It is hard to say what exactly happened, as not many who witnessed it firsthand did not survive, and those who did, did not live long after.

It is said Darian gave 5 of his most loyal nights a share of the blood. While the amount wasn't nearly as much as Darian consumed, it still made them powerful beyond belief. They were the only ones who could withstand that time. In the end, no one knows where they are, or where they went. Darian disappeared without a trace, leaving a giant wasteland cutting through the middle of the continent. Rumor is that he died, or perished in his own flames. His 5 men are nowhere to be found now, though if they were not killed, they would certainly still be alive today, with all that power even a drop of the Tradesman's blood gives him.

As to why the Tradesman gave Darian his blood, the reason is unknown. The Tradesman is not one to give away his power so easily. He was rumored to be in the forest of trials, an entire continent away. They seldom give help, advice, or interacts with civilisation in general, so what made him appear in Myra and give Darian his blood is unknown.
