Procrastination

I don't know what category to put this but I'm putting this in blogging because of the mix bag. We'll see where I actually end up putting it.

Anyways, here I am once again. I should be working but I'm blogging. It's because of the pain in my hand and wrist. I don't think I can win right now but we'll see where I end up later. For now, I'm procrastinating. This crochet and knitting this is DANGEROUS! (Hyperbolic, not being serious here, Karen and Kevin.) It's par for the course if you're me. Like, I'm sure other crafters in my line does get this pain. Right now, it feels like it's a smaller number.

I honestly want a rest day but, c'mon. It's the first full week of the year and I got to get ready for a crafting event in February. Do I advise doing this in the middle of a pandemic? No but just like everyone else, I would like to make money so I can have pizza nights with kiddo or to get some more clothing for the spring and summer. We artists need to keep the lights on and such.

I also am trying to figure out if I want to do the second moon on this shawl I'm going. It's a shawl commission from someone who is Wiccan (if I got my facts straight here). It's the triple moon pentacle (according to Google). It's a pretty easy design or rather it should be easy. If you know me, you would know I've done harder designs for another knitting designer for Addicted to Sock Knitting eZine back in 2016. I was one of the testers for 3 issues. It should of been easy but instead of knitting using the fair isle method (it's where I use 2 or more strands to make pretty patterns in the middle of the fabric), I had to use the duplicate stitch. It's an embroidery technique to sew in the color and to make it look like it's knitted in.

Image below is what I got from Google to explain what I'm talking about when it comes to what I am commissioned to do.

For some odd ass reason, I've been having issues with it. I cannot tell if patterns needs to be printed or what but it's been a pain. Now, it's a literal pain! Lucky, I kind of have my shit together to do this. I know I can do this. I have done it before, people, but it's me. It's truly me right now. My friend (to make this easier for everyone, call him CraftyOrc), thinks that my lack of sleep and stress due to the nonsense in my life is making it hard to focus. To be fair to the CraftyOrc, it's possible. Either way and no matter, I got it. I promise I got this part just...

It's just that I don't know if I even want to make something new. I kind of want to stick to stocking up what I have before moving onto something new. I did want to do a new design. I haven't made a new design in a long while. I'd like to do that but I don't see the room for this month to do it. I have something in mind for sure! I got a list of things I'd like to do but it's time. Time is such an issue. It's a construct!

Also, I have sad news for myself. More like my mom does. She works at McDonald's and it's great when she does. Child gets a toy from his nana and I get some McFlurries when she is able to. Recently, I found out through Diply that McDonald's was selling cheese buckets for burgers. Knowing me and my love for the stuff, I had to know if they were selling it. Turns out, they won't be where my mom lives. The stupid article (wait until you hear why I think it's stupid) never said where they were selling it. I'm wondering if it's a fake article now or select areas/regions/countries/ect. I hate country exclusive stuff, especially when it's something I'm actually interested in. I wouldn't eat the burger. You can have the burger but give me the damn cheese with my damn fries! But, seriously, that sucked to know they may not be selling them where I live.

I believe I have procrastinated and prattled on long enough. I don't know what else to talk about. I really don't. I'll blog again later when I have something more interesting to say or just make up a fictional event for you guys to read. Meanwhile, Happy Crafting, guys!
