I thought about participating in one on twitch because I was interested in the genre, and the idea of making a short game that didn't have to be finished, just for like, practice and whatever you know.
But then I saw the game jam was only lasting less than two weeks, and I don't know how anyone gets anything done in that short of a time span unless they don't have a life or a job. Like I'm sorry but I have chores, I don't have 24/7 to sit here and shit out a half finished crap game in ten days, I'm not doing it. That's like, forcing cramming culture on a bunch of indie artists and developers for absolutely no reason. No reward, it's not enjoyable because you have to devote all of your time just to make something feasible like. Why would anyone want to do that lmfao

I understand what you mean, I also want to join game jams but then i see that the time for it is so short. makes it impossible to join.
