April 22, 2022. Day Of Silence. (4)

I just had lunch, which is usually my loudest period. But I didn’t say a single word out loud. Only signs and writing. It was actually really fun. We all were trying to use different things to communicate with each other about what we were trying to say. It was hard but really different and fun. We moved to the topic of fictional crushes, which I really should do a whole separate blog for LOL. But it was hilarious because we would show pictures or sign the name of the character, and the nonverbal reactions said it all. There was fake fainting, vomiting, gawking, and eye-rolling and we were all dying laughing. When we get back to class, my best friend and I stand outside of my classroom and talk every day. Today though, she talked to me and I listened and reacted. It was great. I taught her a little bit of ASL as well!
