Let me be like the teens on the TV screens with there pretty faces blonde hair and cherry lip gloss. Their clean houces and messy crushes on guys, their problems that resolve them selves in 30 minutes and highschool dramas. Let me be a pop star, an artist, vampire, a pretty girl. I won't sabotage myself. I won't shoplift. I won't kiss girls with their Strawberry lip gloss and minds full of the wonders the world could only dream of offering. Let me reach my hand towards the screen only to realise that the tips of my fingers are touching the lenses of a camra. May the man in my mind made from movie clips and magazine clippings have reason for existing. Let me be like the teens on TV.
Note:
This is one of the poem things from the zine (home made magazine) I'm making. I've been procrastinating a bit but it's basically done now! I'll post a link to it once I add the finishing touches. Read it if you want to see some more poetry like this and other art work!!
