i will be drawing things from the true lives of the fabulous killjoys:national anthem :DDD
Okay so basically i will be talking about my connections between the song bullet proof heart by mcr and mike milligram from national anthem! Of course you'll notice that his shirt literally says bulletproof and he goes directly in the line of bullets in the comic. So now to the song and the verses because visual aspects are very easy to connect xD
So the line "these pigs are after me,after you" of course the song is supposed to seem like they're talking to you as seen in the "johnny/jenny wont you come back home?" which my american friend told me that can be used to talk to generally anyone but if we were to connect this to mike you can imagine he's talking to blue to who is romantically involved with pigs referring to the cops which they are constantly fighting. You can also see in the line "do our talking with a laser beam" is more connected to national anthem because the killjoys in that comic is much more confrontational and angry and generally more ready to attack or fight in comparison to the killjoys in danger days who didn't always want to be violent and as cherry cola said in california "He saw the colours and the guns but not what they really stood for" The killjoys in danger days didn't want to be violent they wanted to fix and forgive everyone in battery city. in another verse you hear "and we could run away, run away from here" maybe referring to mike wanting to run away with her and as you know if you've read the comics he was planning to propose to blue but she died he wanted to be with her and he couldn't because of the life they chose. Also we know national anthem takes place before danger days because if you read my nanana blog or have basic knowledge of danger days you'll know that it takes place around 2019 but national anthem takes place at one point in the 2000s (not specified exactly) so the danger days killjoys will probably know of the older killjoys even though they're not directly connected. At the end of the song you hear "the world is after me,after you" instead of "these pigs" which could relate to the death of blue because the entire world and life and death has stopped them from being together.
This is running a little long sorry about that but i might revisit this because i really like the idea of this or just connecting songs to comics ! I hope you enjoyed reading XPP. (nunu you're probably gonna see this so i loves youuu)
