cassettes and walkmens

I'm more happy that my walkmen just needed some new batteries as it was an equalizer to mess with the Bass Mid and Treble which is something that I don't really see with other Walkmans I see when I was looking for a new one to buy. I want to get better at noise reduction while recording the tapes so if anyone has advise I'd be happy to hear it!
