I definitely think Berserk is more about healing and dealing with severe trauma than all the gore and violence.
Lemme know what y'all think.
And if you haven't heard about berserk yet, I'd highly recommend reading this manga masterpiece.

oh yeah, it absolutely is. I know miura quite famously said that he considered berserk to be a shoujo manga because of the way it focuses on the characters and their relationships. it uses its dark tone and horror elements to make the points of holding onto hope, and allowing other people into your life, to hit you harder. it's been a favourite of mine for a long time !!
