easter sunday at my catholic family

we start out the day with chocolate (as per usual on easter sunday) and avocado on toast (as per usual for any day) and then my delightful mother (sarcasm) decided to pull me out of my sunday haze for a walk, which in hindsight was actually a good excuse to get out of church (my nanas catholic, i'm not, no offence to any church goers <3) soo we went to this sanctuary thing in the waikato (nz) with a bunch of birds - apparently. i saw like 4 the entire 1hr 30min walk sooo yeah. i did see my first saddleback bird which is apparently super rare so that was cool. we then move on to 2 easter egg hunts with my 2 cousins which was tiring to say the least. we end the day with a giant extended family dinner at my aunt and uncles house which was so chaotic and my social battery was already at like 30% so we didnt have much more energy left in me. i did get to catch up with one of my cousins i havent seen in a while (and his girlfriend) and my bestfriend told me my OTHER cousin was attractive so that was weird. (tysm for that amy <33) the food was really good and i ate like my entire body weight in food so naturally i feel kinda gross and ngl im ready to go home and see my friends and sleep in my own bed (ik its only been like 1 night but i get homesick so easily)
