*+:。.。 R3:View - March (lazy edition) 。.。:+*

I am going to be completely honest and say there are only 3 new things I watched and finished in  march I've been so absolutely lazy with this lately and I've been losing a lot of motivation lately. But I did want to put out a r3view for march anyway! I'm changing up the format a bit and I'm only going to talk about movies/media that really stuck out to me (good or bad).
Anyway enjoy! SPOILERS BTW

Turning red
Favorite movie of the month that I watched honestly, I'm a little annoyed it didn't get a theatrical release because I love going to the cinemas and disney and pixar films I believe are best seen on a big ass screen surrounded by random families and bubbas running around. Anyway I loved this movie! I could 100% relate to these young girls and being a silly pre-teen with my girly interests, I adored how frankly pads were portrayed though I don't think the word period or menstruation every came up? But it was nice to see a pixar movie (partially) set in our reality about pre-teens acknowledge puberty and periods. The message may seem kind of confusing but I think that it was just deeply layered about how young womanhood, intergenerational family traumas and finding your own identity are intertwined. If a movie made me cry then yes it pretty much means it's a good movie. Also that soundtrack fucking rules.

The Batman
I actually went to see this in the cinemas which is awesome, our closest cinema is so tacky and gaudy while being kind of bootleg at the same time I adore it. I went with my brother who also wanted to see it. I don't really enjoy superhero movies so I didn't really have any high expectations honestly but I do tend to enjoy DC films much more than marvel films (I've only seen like to mcu films). So I was a little bit more interested since it's DC and I was pleasantly surprised, I really enjoyed Robert pattinsons depiction of batman and Paul dano's performance was probably the stand out and I think Paul dano is just such a good actor anyway. That whole car chase action scene was amazing there was some really good action. The whole Riddler having a twitch.tv thing was really funny to me. Robert pattinson and Zoe kravitz were really hot though I don't think their whole sexual tension and kiss scene was really all that deserved. I thought that ending sentiment of Batman only being able to do so much was very sweet and made me tear up a little bit. They're obviously setting up a threequel and I'm honestly quite excited to see what's next for the man of bat.

Zombieland Saga Revenge
Yay! I FINALLY got to start and finish revenge I'd been wanting to for a while but I just haven't been all that interested in anime since forever tbh. I really enjoyed the first season and it's probably the best "new" anime I've seen in ages I just love the concept it's a little different from regular idol shows (I enjoy idol animes and games but not as much as I do irl idols). It's incredibly funny especially the English dub and it's just a really fun show. I enjoy the focus of the season being the girls focusing on their revenge concert since they bombed last season, to see them working towards a goal (and hijinks ensuing). They're just my gorls :') and I'm glad they got their revenge (even if it was the result of a natural disaster destroying peoples homes and livelihoods). It seems to be setting up a third season since we have this immortal man and this whole plan about these undead girls saving saga or something and I want more of Tae she's a mystery.

Thank you sm for reading !!
