Volumes 16 & 17 have probably been the best of the series so far. They take a much more linear structure compared to the sporadic, disconnected chapters of previous volumes, and while I love those, this more slowly paced, drawn-out narrative is serving for the character development really well!
Komi and Manbagi's relationship dynamic is really interesting, especially after their personal talk, and I really look forward to seeing how they're going to continue to react to the other pining for Tadano as this arc wraps up and we get back to the usual shenanigans. This series is having some great highs and I love that I can go from laughing out loud one minute to kicking my legs around like an anime schoolgirl the next because of how cute and genuine the drama is!
I'm really not one for romance stories in my day-to-day, but when it's done well, it's done well, and this series has an iron grip on my heartstrings.
