nightmare 01

I had a dream that my partner Ernesto and I were arguing so I decided to storm out and drive his car around. While we were arguing, I was being a Dramatic Bitch and scratching my wrists and throwing a fit. When I got in the car I wasn’t wearing shoes and I just started driving. 

As I was going through our apartment complex, there was a strange vibe. It was dark out but I don’t know if it was early or late, but there were people walking around. It was ominous. As I drove, someone ran in front of the car or acted like they were going do, which caused me to swerve and loose control of the car. I tried to use the brakes but they didn’t work. Suddenly I felt the car crash into water. Our apartment complex doesn’t actually have a lake nearby, but in the dream it did. 

I can’t even describe how vivid this part was. I felt the weight of the car release as it began to sink, and the light faded. I couldn’t see much except the inside of the car. The windows were covered in deep navy. The sound of water gurgling into the crevices of the car was all I could hear beyond my breathing. I started to panic as I realized I wasn’t able to open the doors. 

I startled awake in a cold sweat. I wanted to wake up Ernesto because I was still shaken, but I decided against it.
