..So I have read another book and it's called The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum. Has anyone ever read that? Because if you are, I salute you for not throwing up in the middle of reading. That book gave me fucking chills and absolute disgust.
Does anyone have a book recommendation with Horror/Thriller/Dark Fantasy stuffs? I would gladly read it!

I don't physically own any 'gut wrenching' horror books, but I read a horror thriller trilogy in highschool. The author is hilarious with how he writes his characters and scenes, and has the most unique way of describing gory scenes (Demon Road trilogy by Derek Landy) its got stuff from cannibalism, undead serial killers and a Queer MC.
There's also a fantasy/horror esque book i read which i think got more books. So its now a series, its called the witch's heart by Katharine Corr. It's got this almost 'dark fairy tale' vibe to it. From what I recall its about a teenage girl called Meredith's whose family tree is full of centuries of witches. However her mother has been isolating the family from their coven.
From what i remember the 'fairytale' part is about this certain curse. Which is being revealed again as dead bodies are found within the town with their hearts carved out and missing.
