Chapter Two

I arrived at my new home for who knows how long, but I can assure you that I am determined to not stay long. I was greeted with a bunch of nasty looking maids and everyone else was giving me strange looks. I know I must be different being as though I'm from an entirely different class as these people, but the least they could do is have some decorum and avert their eyes. I am not an animal. The maid even stuck me into the most uninhabitable room in the whole building. I should be treated with respect since these people are the ones that were so desperate for a new teacher at their school. I knew I had to show them I was a respectable man so I made a plan. The next time the maid came to bring my breakfast, I would give her my remaining 14 yen as a tip. 

I got a chance to meet my coworkers and might I say I am not impressed. They all are peculiar in their respective ways, but after being notified that I could start in 2 days, I booked it and explored the town. I fell asleep forgetting of a meeting I had scheduled with the other math teacher until he was standing over me. He (the porcupine) told me that there had been an opening room with a woman and her husband and that I should expect to move in soon.

Update: The maid’s gawking made me so angry I tipped her 5 yen.
