Chapter Four

I cannot believe this school! They NEED me and yet I am the one getting in trouble with the principal for simply leaving to enjoy the remainder of my day! That conniving Redshirt bastard gets to be relived off any hard duties. He even gets a higher salary, shorter hours, and he’s relieved from night duty. And when I voiced my concern to my superior… he brushed me off. He brushed ME off. You’d think that to run a school smoothly, you’d have to listen to your employees , but of course these country folk have to be different. Oh and don’t get me started on that good for nothing goody two shoes Porcupine who had the absolute NERVE to chastise me for leaving my post. 

But not to worry, I did everyone a favour of not leaving then and there and I stayed the night. I am the type of person who doesn’t feel as if they had a good sleep if they didn’t flop on the bed and of course, as an adult, I landed on the bed with a big crash and prepared for my long slumber. BUT, and I kid my audience not, I laid in a bed full of insects. Grasshoppers even. As soon as I was finished killing all of them I called in the student reps who claimed ignorance and went as far as to correct me saying the bugs were locusts. My day had already been… difficult and to avoid any more conflict with these low class people who hardly classified as human, I sent the children to bed and reminisced of my kindhearted Kiyo. Ah and to make my night even worse, the children ran me in a circle all night until I fell asleep out of exhaustion in the hallway. Badger said he’d deal with it and let me have the day off but, I can’t let these.. these kids get the better of me.
