My Experience As A McDonald's Employee
Bro what the even heck? So I'm a former Mcdonalds worker, and i'm not saying all McDonalds are terrible places to work BUT. The one i worked at was miserable and that's putting it lightly. We had this one employee who got here like a month ago-ish? and they were stealing and bullying. Like ACTUAL bullying. I heard the managers talking about it- I was the one getting harassed because while im 18 i'm a very small person so those type of people like to target. BUT MAN. I wasn't even just a crew member i was a crew trainer and when i told them about it they'd said they were gonna "handle it". SO WHAT DO THEY DO? THEY PROMOTE HIM.
Him who eats the food from customers bags- so if u ever go to that McDonalds and your fry is lacking, that's why. Because a customer even came in to report him for EATING THEIR FRIES- they didn't take any action. He's made rapey jokes towards our coworkers- inappropriate and gross- and nothing happened. Same thing with another worker who began making fun of my scars- like bro r u serious?? this is a work environment? not your place? to? judge others? and neither of these guys would do their freaking jobs AND there was a manager engaging in this type of stuff. I went to the district manager to find a solution- he got mad at ME??? and told me to switch my schedule so I wouldn't work with them- AND THEN HE REJECTED MY SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST???
after that i left. Because despite me working there WAY WAY longer than that guy had, and me working harder, the managers wouldn't take action against the harassment i was getting. So I just walked out because i'll be DAMNED if i'm going to stay in such a toxic environment. I'm really appalled at some of the gross stuff I've seen happen at that McDonald's. This girl i knew almost broke down because one of the guys who worked in the back started groping her and THE MANAGERS OFC DID NOTHING- She was only like 15 like bruh. DISGUSTING. They were practically part of it for not doing a thing about it. He's done more than just that too. I don't know. If your looking to work at a McDonalds i'd recommend some other place.
ANYWHERE else. especially because of how TERRIBLE the managers treated us. they yelled and got so angry whenever a trainee made a mistake- it was really terrible. I've seen some of my trainees cry because of how thoroughly they got chewed out for going on break after the manager said to and then the manager would switch up and say they didn't say that. It happened to me too. If your Mcdonald's is better then obviously take this with a grain of salt. This was just my experience at this one although I've heard other horror stories. I don't know. If you work there though and you see this type of behavior pop-up I'd RUN. Because it'll only get worse and damage your mental health. Sorry that was so long but I've needed to get that off my chest.

what the hell?? this sounds nightmarish!
i hate how most managers don't care about the employees like they're not people. for them we're machines. truly disgusting behaviour.
but i'm happy to hear that you left instead of staying there longer. i hope you have found a better job
