Hello everyone!!!!! I know its half way through april and i'm a little late but happy autism acceptance month!! this is a great month for autistic people because its a chance for autistic voices to be heard and for neurotypical people to finally acknowledge issues they have made for autistic people.
for those who don't know, I have autism, and i'm bad at talking about really serious stuff, so im going to go on a tangent about special interests and hyperfixations!!!!!! (yay)
hyperfixations are certain things that neurodivergent people can obsess over for for long periods of time, usually weeks to months (exp. non stop playing a video game for months on end, only wanting to read the same book cover to back for some odd weeks)
Special interests on the other hand are an autism only experience that is like a hyperfixation but way more extreme. special interests can last for years, and sometimes can be the only thing people with autism want to talk, intake, or even think about.
Despite the cool obscure facts you learn about your special interests and the joy it may bring a person, it can sometimes be a problem for people who experience them. Since special interests / hyperfixations are something a person obsesses over, it can get in the way of important things the person needs to do (exp. person partaking in special interests when they are supposed to do homework/chores/work for a career.) like right now! im technically already spent my 2 reading/ELA classes writing an essay about special interests and hyperfixation on a website i currently have a hyperfixation on! (ironic how i can write a multi-paragraph essay that barely anyone will see but not for an assignment that is worth half of my ELA grade >->)
anyway, i don't really know where to go from here so im just going to end it here.

No I thought april started like yesterday. Why r we going so fast. Why is there no time to do anything.

because modern time measurement is flawed and stupid, when you think about it we've only been in April for a week. honestly, i think we should just go back to saying its daytime and night time
