What would be better? Ignore an abusive school mate's messages and be potentially seen as an ass for not helping them or helping and increasing the chances of them always coming to you for assistance. On the bright side, you wouldn't be painted as an asshole or snob.
I've dealt with my fair share of people like this but it was mostly just them being too lazy at one point -keyword, one- and deciding to look for extra help with a task. Not to mention one of my class' before was pretty tight-knit so in my eyes this was common since we were all a bit close. Also, we were in high school. I expected a lot of things out of college, e.g. new people (asses and saints alike), heavier workload, and new teachers you'd hope would not be strict or at least be reasonably so.
Out of everything I expected, I did not expect to see these type of people again. Or I'll just call them leeches coz that's what they fucking are. I made the assumption that since we were grown that they would at least be a bit more subtle but no. Tucker is a prime example of this. At first they would seem all friendly but then you start seeing a pattern. Their sweetness towards you comes at a price. And they did absolutely nothing to hide this. Now, seeing as I was a new face in school, I didn't wanna make a bad impression of myself. So, I tried to give every task my all. It attracted some pretty trustworthy people but then, it also attracted people like Tucker.
At the end of the day, I just try to learn from my mistakes and learn new tricks while I'm at it, so I could throw off leeches like them. I'm praying that there wouldn't be an increase of said leeches in the future but alas, life can be a bitch if it wants to so better to be ready than sorry.
