Finally have some time on my hands so here is all the juicy media I want to consume there holidays:
To read:
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov - I'm halfway through, it gets tough to read sometimes
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent - I need to read this for English but I'm so excited it seems like a brilliant historical fiction
Before the coffee gets cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi - I've heard from literally everybody who has read this that it's an incredible life-changing book
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath - she seems cool and again I have a kajillion recommendations
To watch:
The Godfather - classic movie. I want to get through all the movies that I feel like I should've watched by now, all the seminal ones. It's just a bit embarrassing imo to have never watched some of the most acclaimed movies ever
Ok, I've watched it and here's the review: I just loved this. It was a brilliant step back in time and in my opinion it has aged seamlessly. The representation of the wog culture brought a smile to my face. Brilliant movie!
The Matrix - another classic lmao I say we're in the matrix all the time but I've never even watched the thing
The Breakfast Club - LOVE JOHN HUGHES again it's embarrassing I haven't seen this yet
Fresh - lmao it just looks interesting
Tick Tick Boom - Andrew Garfield is hot and the songs get stuck in my head after I se them on my FYP
Ok so this one wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be, I mean it wasn't shit but I was expecting better. That banger song green green dress wasn't even in the movie
Fight Club - reccomended to me so I have to watch
I'll definitely update this with a review for each and what I got through at the end of the holidays.
Any recommendations? PLEASE leave a comment I love hearing different peoples' favourite things. I really like books that make you think rather than make you feel hopefully after I finish these I can get back into reading nonfiction or philosophy and shit.
