10 things to instead of scrolling
1) Make a themed playlist
- Make one based off a show or movie or just a general theme you like. You could even make one suited for doing certain tasks e.g., Cleaning your room, reading, laundry, studding etc
- Or you could just find new music all together
2) Read that book you have always wanted to start
If you are anything like me, you probably have a book or two on your shelf that you keep telling yourself you are going to read but never do!! Well now is your chance to pick it up
3) Make a cute PowerPoint on research topics you have always wanted to know about
- There is so many cool topics out there! It can never hurt to learn about something new. After all, knowledge is power.
You could research:
The Bermuda triangle
A culture or religion you know little about
A celebrity
An animal or country
And so on…
4) Paint your nails
There are so many cute nail looks out there and Pinterest is the hub of all aesthetic and themed looks so if you need some inspo check there!
5) Make a Pinterest board
I love Pinterest so much, you can make vision boards and find photos that fit certain aesthetics, you can find outfit inspo and sewing, drawing, room décor inspo and so much more. So, take some time to browse Pinterest, see what you can find
6) Customise your spacehey account
I don’t know about you, but I spent quite a while making my spacehey account look cute, so if you have a bit of time update it, chose a new layout, and keep us up to date!
7) Start a craft project
A bit of craft can get you thinking and encourage you to try something new. What skill have you always wanted to pick up? For me, I have been wanting to learn how to crochet and get better at sewing. Of course, it doesn’t have to be a new skill. You could make a cute card for someone you love or learn how to make a paper rose for your room! Even start to pick up a new language.
8) Start a themed journal or video diary account
I don’t know about you, but I find sticking to a theme or aesthetic so much fun! It may not be for everyone, but you never know until you try, right?
9) Create a morning plan
It’s always good to stay organised especially with school and mid-terms coming up. I don’t know about you, but I hate mornings and getting my ass up and ready for the day is a challenge.
10) Write a letter or record a video for your future self
Some things you could include:
- Your current interests
- Ask if you have achieved any of your goals
- Share your current friends and favourite books and movies
- Share your current problems so you can see how they change and alter
So on, so forth…
