I WENT TO MY FIRST COMEDY SHOW 5 DAYS AGO AND IT WAS AMAZING!!

I listened to ed on radio x first thing and thats probably the first time i realised "oh my god, im actually going to see him live". i watched some shows hes been on with my dad until it was time to leave and our car LITTERALLY BROKE DOWN ON THE WAY THERE. by "broke down" i mean the tire had gone completely flat and wouldnt fill up BUT STILL. we found a spare tire in the boot luckily though (idk if theres an american term for it, oh well, its a boot to you lot i guess).

But yeah we got a nandos after that and then walked to the theatre and i bought a signed vinyl record with one of his shows on it. Our seats were so much better than i expected and the playlist at the start was amazing i wasnt even mad to be waiting so long for it to start.

Chloe Petts who was the support act was on first and she was HILARIOUS, she made her whole bit about sexuality since shes lesbian and it went down so well with the audience. there wasnt a second of her bit that i wasnt laughing. she was picking on a couple in the front row throughout saying "when their relationship inevitably fails theyll probably both end up gay".

she was on for 30 minutes and then there was an interval and then Ed came on TO BEFORE I FORGET BY SLIPKNOT (the best slipknot song, im not arguing with you i am right). He was absolutely incredible and so was the audience so heres a few of my favourite audience interaction moments.

-He had a bit about buying dick straws for his wifes hen do and a random girl in the audience screams "OMG YESS" so he asks "are you a fan of penis straws then?" and she shouts back "YEAH IVE GOT LIKE 40!!" (they were indeed selling alcohol in the interval which probably explains a lot of the audience in hindsight lol).

-He also has a bit about how he performed at the days leading up to download festival, the second he said 'download festival' a guy near the front screamed "YEAHHHH" AND SLAMMED HIS CUP DOWN. Ed just shouts back "i hope there wasnt any liquid still in that" and the guys tone completely changes and he goes "nope."

-He was talking about hecklers at one point so one guy got the idea to heckle and shouted "WHATS WITH THE CAZOO ADVERTS" and "DO YOU HAVE A RIVALRY WITH RYLAN??". (ed voices over a car advert and theres this other guy called rylan that does it for another car company, its a long story lol) so ed just responds "DO YOU THINK I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT CAR COMPANIES?? no, i film my lines in the studio, get home, check my bank balance, AND LAUGH."

it felt like it ended so soon (unlike this fucking blog which, props to you, if youre still reading this lmao) but i waited outside the stage door at the end cause one of my mates told me thats how to get pictures with comedians. I was there with two guys who looked like vikings, two bald men and the nerdiest guy ive ever seen with his dad.

we were waiting like 20 minutes and then a guy came out to tell us ED WAS COMING OUT TO DO PHOTOS IN A MINUTES!!! I was so confident until the second he walked out and i suddenly realised "omfg, thats the actual Ed Gamble". he came out and signed some stuff for some people and then said "is anybody else up for some photos" and me, little ol' awkward me, just mumbles "umm yeah.." BUT I FELT SO CONFIDENT AT THE TIME. But yeah so he came over and said "cool do you wanna come up to the stage door so theres better lighting?", AT THIS POINT I JUST COULDNT TALK ANYMORE I DONT KNOW WHY. IF I WASNT ALREADY SHOCKED THAT I WAS GETTING A PHOTO WITH THE ED GAMBLE HE THEN NOTICED I HAD BOUGHT THE VINYL AND SAID "hey thanks for buying that its always lovely to see people buying them", WHY WAS HE SO NICE??? I LITTERALLY DIDNT EVEN SAY ANYTHING AND HE WAS STILL TALKING TO ME!!!! AAA??!?!

so yeah, thats my profile picture now. 

i still cant believe all of that happened it all went by so fast and ive just been in shock the past few days (few days i say, nearly a week later).
