welcome to the first installment of ren's music recommendations!! this is where i recommend music i like basically. my first music recommendation to you all is: Jungle.
but ren, what IS jungle?
according to google, "jungle is a genre of dance music that emerged out of the UK rave scene in the 90's. the style is characterized by rapid breakbeats, heavily syncopated percussive loops, samples, synths, and deep basslines. also characterized by vocal samples found in dub, reggae and dancehall, as well as hip-hop and funk." Some genre derivatives of jungle are Drum & Bass and Breakcore.
a very common breakbeat sample in jungle is the Amen Break. you'll hear it almost every jungle track there is! Some others are the Think Break and the Funky Drummer.
now that i gave you a brief explanation on jungle, lets get on to the music recommendations.
